Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies, and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers. The house meets in the Lok Sabha Chambers of the Sansad Bhavan in New Delhi.

Jawaharlal Nehru(served 16years as PM): Born on 14 Nov, 1889.(Died because of Heart Attack) •Jawaharlal and Kamala Nehru married on 8 February, 1916 . Kamala was born on 1 August 1899 •Indira Gandhi (served 16years as PM) & (Born - 19 Nov. 1917 & Died - Assassination) daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru(first PM of India). •Indira Priyadarshini Nehru (the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru) married Feroze Gandhi in 1942 and adopted his surname. • Feroze Gandhi(The Gandhi Head in Nehru's Family): Born on 12 September 1912 and Died on 8 September 1960 (aged 47). He was an Indian politician and journalist. Feroze died in 1960 in Delhi, after suffering a second heart attack. •Indira Gandhi: She married Feroze Gandhi at the age of 25, in 1942. Their marriage lasted 18 years, until Feroze died of a heart attack in 1960. They had two sons – Rajiv (b. 1944) and Sanjay (b. 1946). Her younger son Sanjay had initially been her chosen heir; but after his death in a flying accident in June 1980, Gandhi persuaded her reluctant elder son Rajiv to quit his job as a pilot and enter politics in February 1981. Rajiv took office as prime minister following his mother's assassination in 1984; he served until December 1989. Rajiv Gandhi himself was assassinated by a suicide bomber working on behalf of LTTE on 21 May 1991. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in after 7 years of her mothers assassination.

Maneka Gandhi: Maneka Sanjay Gandhi (also spelled Menaka) (née Anand; born 26 August 1956) is an Indian politician. She is a member of Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament. She belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party. She is also an animal rights activist, environmentalist, and wife of the Indian politician Sanjay Gandhi. She has been a minister in four governments, most recently in Narendra Modi's government from May 2014 to May 2019, and has authored a number of books in the areas of etymology, law and animal welfare.

Varun Gandhi was born in Delhi on 13 March 1980 to Sanjay Gandhi and Maneka Gandhi. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi and the great-grandson of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. He is also member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was inducted into Rajnath Singh's team in March 2012 as General Secretary.
